The Role of the Child Support Workers:

At Heatherwood School there are eight CSWs, one working in each of the Classrooms.

Their role is to perform, with the aid of class staff, postural management programmes, including standing, prescribed by the pupils designated physiotherapist and occupational therapist.  They also support pupils in P.E., swimming, hydrotherapy and lunch time clubs and activities.
