A letter from Primary 2 requesting support for their trips to The Lakeside shopping centre. Towards the end of term a trip to Pizza Hut the cost for staff and pupils meals would be £55.00. Normal weekly trips the staff buy a drink whilst feeding the pupils over 6 weeks at £2.00 each a total of £60.00.

Primary 2 would like to buy a camera at approx £50.00. This would be used to send home to the pupils families for them to take photographs .These would then be used to create albums in school and used to improve home school links and enable the pupil to talk more about their family and what they like doing at home.

After discussion it was decided to grant the £55.00 towards the Pizza Hut trip and to fund the new camera.

To fund the cost of the weekly visit to Lakeside would not be something that Friends of Heatherwood would support if granted it would have to be offered to all staff supporting pupils out on trips.

Natalie had information from B&Q regarding waste a donation scheme which the school need to join.

Linda reported that the Bands are still enthusiastic and want to perform at school again but their busy schedule prevents them from the Summer Picnic in the Playground . The Christmas Party will still go ahead as planned format to be arranged.

It was decided to hold a Summer Bingo everything to be Red and White and themed around The World Cup . Date 15th June.

Meeting closed next meeting 25th May in school.
