In 6th Form our cookery session has an international theme doing English, American, Italian and Mexican.
At the moment students vote on the country that we are doing, we then choose a recipe from that country.

We buy the ingredients and then all the students participate in the making of the meal.  Students then enjoy the meal and we work out a comparative cost between what we’ve paid to make it and what it would have cost in a restaurant for the same meal.
